If you would like to attend this workshop, please apply here by June 27
Prerequisites: None
This workshop is part one in a series that includes our two most popular workshops, Fluorescence Microscopy (July 11) and Digital Imaging (July 18). These workshops are prerequisites for our advanced workshops, and together form a strong foundation for understanding the theory and practice of modern fluorescence microscopy. The first workshop will cover the following topics:
- Fluorescence and fluorophores
- Filter sets & other methods of wavelength selection
- Choosing the best fluorophore and filter set combination
- Alignment of the fluorescence light path
- Resolution
- Choosing the best objective lens for your experiment
- Mounting your specimen for fluorescence microscopy
