This workshop includes both lecture and hands-on laboratory exercises. The first session (this event) will be lecture only. When you apply, you’ll be able to choose from a few small group lab sessions on separate days.
Topics covered include:
- How sCMOS, CCD & EM-CCD cameras work
- Digital image quality: signal-to-noise ratio and resolution/pixel size
- Camera acquisition software settings: E.g., exposure time, binning, gain, offset, amplification
- Digital image processing and display
- Basic Fiji/ImageJ operations
